This Volvo S40 sedan was taken during a daytime residential burglary near Everett while the homeowner was in the residence. This occurred in the 2600 block of Russell Way.

The theft was reported to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Volvo.

Less than two hours later, a Snohomish County SO deputy, equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC), received the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Volvo. He located the Volvo in the 12900 block of Alexander Road near Everett. The Volvo was abandoned and apparently undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Volvo S40 in September 2002 at Volvo of Tucson in Arizona.
