The owners of a 2009 Lexus G350 contacted the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the unincorporated area of El Cajon.

The San Diego County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Within 12 minutes officers from the El Cajon Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Lexus to a residential neighborhood located near the 700 block of Beach Street in the city of El Cajon.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus in October 2014 at Mossy Volkswagen El Cajon in California.
