This Lexus GS300 was stolen sometime during the night from the owner’s residence located in the 20600 block of NE Glisan Street in Fairview. When the theft was discovered it was reported to the Fairview Police Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Later that evening, a Portland Police Bureau K9 officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Lexus to the 7800 block of SE Aspen Summer Drive in Portland. It was abandoned and the only damaged was to the rear window. The current owner purchased the Lexus as a used car and was not aware it was equipped with LoJack almost fifteen years ago.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus GS300 in December 2001 at Lexus of Tampa Bay in Florida.
